About me
I was born and raised in Germany and studied at the Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin). I graduated as a translator for English and German (German Chamber of Commerce, Berlin).
I have always loved languages and the written word and studied French and Italian as well as English and German. Sadly, I didn't continue with my studies of French and Italian and have not had an opportunity to refresh my knowledge in the last few years.
I now live in Kent, UK, after spending 15 years in the West of Ireland. What I miss most about that part of Ireland are the ancient rock formations of the Burren and the sandy beaches of the Atlantic. If only the weather could be more obliging!
I have always loved dogs and have had canine companions for the last few decades. Fortunately, the Kent weather is somewhat friendlier than the Irish weather and I enjoy walking with my dogs.
My other interests include cycling, motorbiking, poker, online gaming, music, reading and British TV dramas.
